To register online you must be over 16 and have an address in Berlin or the surrounding counties.
The price is € 10.00 annually and entitles you to the use of all of the services provided by VÖBB (Verbund der Öffentlichen Bibliotheken Berlins, VÖBB). Please note that no discount reasons can be taken into account when registering online. If you would like to take advantage of a discount, please visit one of our libraries and present your proof of discount. You can find the possible reasons for discounts at the link "Usage and fee regulations" in the footer.
Once you have registered online you will receive an e-mail with a request for payment containing your user number. Use this user number and your password, which is automatically set to your date of birth in the format DDMMYYYY (e.g. 01071975), to log into your account.
You can then choose whether to pay by SEPA Direct Debit, Giropay or credit card. If your payment is successful you will receive a confirmation e-mail and you can start to use VÖBB content in the "digital services" menu item.
To ensure that you can make full use of the Public Library services locally, please ask for a library card to be issued the next time you visit a VÖBB library. You will need to present your ID card or passport together with your police registration certificate. There will be no additional costs for you.
